The story
Fields of Green was the first album. Paul had spent seven years developing a mouldable hemp material and wanted to put something real in people's hands rather than talk about it, so the CD became the showcase: the tray was pressed from hemp plastic, the insert printed on tree-free hemp card, and the didgeridoo on the recording was made entirely of hemp fibre.
It was launched at the Byron Bay Community Centre Indigenous shop on Friday 22 August 2003, with Gumaroy playing live. The Byron Shire Echo covered it under the headline "Making plastic out of hemp". Ten percent of the profits went back into hemp plastic research.
The tracks here are the ones we still have from the original session files. If the full masters turn up, every buyer gets the complete album by email at no extra cost.

Pressed on hemp plastic
The original CD tray was moulded from hemp plastic, the insert printed on tree-free hemp card and the didgeridoo made from hemp fibre. It was the first CD of its kind, made to show that a plant could do a petrochemical's job. Read how it happened.

Oceans of Blue
Seven long pieces, exactly sixty minutes. Didgeridoo, harp, gentle guitar, sitar, saxophone and voice, made for massage tables, yoga rooms and the hour before sleep.
